I am in the process of mocking up my project car. I have a 3x2 manifold on my engine. I have the engine sitting 1 degree down in the rear. My carb. mounting plain is approx. 4 deg. down toward the front. I know it should be level, but tilting the engine is not going to happen. How critical is this to the 94's? Should I just try it this way, or should I adjust the float levels differently when I rebuild them? I really don't want to but I could get some angled plates made to put between the carb and manifold. How have you handled this? I'm using an enclosed drive shaft rear and it is already running down to the front of the car. So I don't want to tilt the engine. Thanks
had a similar problem. i was only off a couple degrees though. To make up the difference i bought a spacer from speedway i believe. I cut it into 3rds, and used the grinder (belt sander would have been quicker) to grind the bottom of each at an angle to make up the difference. in my case, it didn't take much and visually you don't see it. needed the spacer anyhow to avoid my progressive linkage from hitting the intake.
From my experiences you'll just have to mess with the float level a bit more seeing that your engine angle may be +/- degrees from stock.
