Looking for a relay or help - MO to OH

I purchased a trans from the Whiskey Runner in Theodesia MO. I was finally able to arrange to go 13 hours to pick it up. Made arrangments with him, all was good.

Well, the night I am on the way, I leave him a message..... the following morning, I am getting close to my interchange and leave another. I arrived in the area and still cannot contact him. Waste some time, did some driving around the area and nothing. I had other places to be so I had to head north again.

Came to be, he was in the hospital with no way to contact me.

Well, I need this trans but don't have the time or extra cash to return right away. Is there anyone traveling toward Ohio that could possibly let it ride along? Just trying to get it closer to me.

If you do ot have any luck, I might be able to get it to the HAMB Drags to connect with someone going east when the leave. Theodesia is about 125 miles east of me but I occasionally go near there.

I can help you from Evansville, IN to Medina County. I don't know where Theodesia MO. is but the boot heel is about 3-4 hrs from me. If you can get it to Eville, maybe for the Frog Follies I can bring it to OH for you. Let me know.

 

My brother lives in Springfield. I'll see if he's coming my way anytime soon. Maybe I can get it to st. louis for you.

 

If you can get it to St. Louis, I'll be at Norwalk for Goodguys/Blue Suede Cruise next month. It can ride in my trailer.

 

I'm in St. Louis and Ocassionally make the trip to cincinnati but won't be going that way for a while. I too will be at the HAMB Drags
I can store it here for you as well if needed..

If you need a layover station in Chicago, you can leave it with me until someone can take it the rest of the way east

 

If someone can get it from Theodesia to Salem this weekend I can get it to St louis.

 

Guys, right now I believe RC (Whiskey Runner) is in the hospital again. I have a transport for tomorrow, but doubt it is going to happen at this point.

Hopefully this will be worked out. He has offered to bring it to Kansas City or St. Louis if need be.

To bad this wasn't earlier in the month, I was in the bootheel over the 4th and of course drove through Ohio on the way back. Good luck with it.

 

Well guys, I am astonished by the amount of offers to help. Figured "maybe" someone... but was happily suprised by the response.

WhiskeyRunner was in the hospital til Friday night, he contacted me Saturday and we got things worked out. To boot, xxwelderxx and one of WR's friends spent 3 hours helping get the trans out of the car. This was supposed to be a "pick-up"
xxwelderxx brought the trans within 8 miles of my house, we met, Bs'd for a bit and both were on our way. I am eternally thankful to him.....
