Flyin from Seattle today for Newark to make some repairs to a CG small boat. Anyone in the area have anything good going on tonight or tomorrow evening? Eric
If weather holds out, there is a small car show in Mountainside NJ @ Famous Dave's BBQ on Rt 22 east (15 min from Newark NJ). There's two slightly larger shows in Bridgewater NJ (40 min). Welcome to Jersey ! Jay
Ya can try Rutts Hut at 417 River Road Clifton, NJ 07014 - (973) 779-8615 Tuesday night. CHEESEBERGER in PARADISE 336 RT. 46 East. (service road) Wayne NJ Every Wednesday BURGER KING - Moonachie Road, Moonachie, NJ Wednesday
I ended up not getting in until late last night. Anything good going on tonight. I have to work at the coast guard base on Staten island for most of the morning then should be off for the rest of the day.

Good sources, but a bit unsatisfying for this weekend...anyone know anything about the Lake George show?? Anything going on this weekend in NJ, lower NY, Eastern PA that is heavy on hotrods and/or antique cars? Have a sudden, desperate need to see more old iron. Could not bear anything that turns out to be a bunch of '67 GTO's with drive in trays or just streetrods...
Bruce, I hate drive in trays... SUNDAY...Englishtown Sunday, July 25th, 2010 8:00 AM - 7:30 PM 31st Annual Nostalgia Summernationals Old Time Drags. 9th Annual Funny Car Reunion. Giant Car Show. July 24, 2010 Lake George Hot Rod Happening Sock Hop http://www.lakegeorgehotrod.com/
Yeah, the Lake George looked like the only bright spot semi-local on those sites. Englishtown...always something interesting at that, but largeley too deep into 1970's and not enough actual old iron. '50's and '60's have vanished in that world... Maybe I should just tour my own basements...
Lake George is 3-4 hours away. This is a first time deal. The hotel hosts the Adirondack Nationals the weekend after Labor Day which is always a big turnout.Guess they figure to boost business with another show, though smaller.Limit 500 cars.I live 9 miles away so I will check it out.The Nationals is heavy with Muscle but do get some nice rods. This weekend don't know what to expect. They do have burnout pit and a funny car doing some cackles.Event runs Thurs-Sat. Will probably head up in the Nomad to check things out.
Try New Egypt Speedway, it's DIRT. This saturday night is Legends Night. Drivers that made the dirt racing it is today
ya got to be lucky to find hotrods in this area. but i think sometime this weekend is the oldtime drags at englishtown. and ya always welcome to stop by the shop. and help out
