If weather holds out, there is a small car show in Mountainside NJ @ Famous Dave's BBQ on Rt 22 east (15 min from Newark NJ). There's two slightly larger shows in Bridgewater NJ (40 min).

    Welcome to Jersey !

I ended up not getting in until late last night. Anything good going on tonight. I have to work at the coast guard base on Staten island for most of the morning then should be off for the rest of the day.

Good sources, but a bit unsatisfying for this weekend...anyone know anything about the Lake George show??
Anything going on this weekend in NJ, lower NY, Eastern PA that is heavy on hotrods and/or antique cars? Have a sudden, desperate need to see more old iron. Could not bear anything that turns out to be a bunch of '67 GTO's with drive in trays or just streetrods...

Yeah, the Lake George looked like the only bright spot semi-local on those sites.
Englishtown...always something interesting at that, but largeley too deep into 1970's and not enough actual old iron. '50's and '60's have vanished in that world...
Maybe I should just tour my own basements...

Lake George is 3-4 hours away.
This is a first time deal. The hotel hosts the Adirondack Nationals the weekend after Labor Day which is always a big turnout.Guess they figure to boost business with another show, though smaller.Limit 500 cars.I live 9 miles away so I will check it out.The Nationals is heavy with Muscle but do get some nice rods. This weekend don't know what to expect. They do have burnout pit and a funny car doing some cackles.Event runs Thurs-Sat.
Will probably head up in the Nomad to check things out.
