I am new here and from the south,Tennessee. This has got to be one of my favorite sites , I found it from from another I am a member of. As far as myself I am in to a lot of vintage, retro or just old stuff. I have a collection of jukeboxes and old radios. At one time I restored them, I even fixed a radio for a 50s lincoln that was shipped to Australia. As far as old vehicles my oldest is not as old as some here, its a 60s Ford pickup. I have got into restoring old tools as well. I have some that come close to 100 years old. I have all types from powered to hand tools. I have a quite a few from the 30s to the 60s which are the ones I like the best. I also redo vintage campers , I have two. Anyway I thought I would post here since I come here a lot now. I went through every page here on the old vintage pictures. It took days and was well worth it. I want to set up my shop more like a old shop. I hope to find a old gas sign or make one retro looking so I can put lights on it. If you want to see some of my stuff check out my pictures at http://community.webshots.com/user/willy3486
The heck if I know as well, it wasn't there when I wrote it. It may have been stuff left over from the link.I deleted it out and it looks like it is gone. Anyway thanks for the welcome. When I was a teen I hug out around a old body shop to listen about channeling, chopping roofs on old mercurys, flatheads and other stuff. I just sat back and listened to how to do a car. I may never have one of those but I can get a kick out of the work goning on here by members.
Almost the center of the state. I am in Smithville. The only thing I can think of you may have heard about it is the Smithville Jamboree. There is not much vintage tin to be found in this area but farther east there use to be a lot. I would like to get out that way someday. There were a few yards east of here that looked straight out of the 50s. One had probably 20 acres of cars from the 20s to the 50s. I haven't been that way in years and need to get back that way.
