Ahhh there she is.... I thought I would find my old truck on here!!!! Where was this picture taken? I painted it this color combo and put the visor on for the buyer. I miss this truck!! Believe it or not I drove it that low for 4 or 5 years -- no bags or lifts. Can't tell you how many times i banged/ cracked the running boards and fenders!!!

    WHERE ARE YOU NOW???

Yeah thats what caught my eye to when I walked in the backyard where I bought it but he wanted to keep the wheels and there is something about these trucks when they are low:D

  15. Here's my 56 in Death Valley taken in 1994. Have had it for 23 years and is down right now due to getting run off the road by a hit & run driver.

I like the way your truck sits.
How much drop? What size tires and wheels.
Man, I hear my 56 Ford pickup calling me, and I'm no where near done with the 55 Chevy racecar.

Just a question...but how many of yall use a drop axle to lower the front end? I am looking into getting one of Sid's axles to bring the front end down where it needs to be. I figure I can lower the rear enough to keep a slight rake via springs and shackles...

Here is a few of my F-1...and the lil 289 I put in there.

Also, a huge part of the inspiration behind this build came from the photoshop job by Django.

I've got a 2" drop axle from Kris Elmer (Loudpedal), and reversed spring eyes up front.

Rear leaf pack was "kinked" before I got it... roughly 2" drop from that.

Does he drop them, or was it something he had for sale? The reason I ask is I am pricing out different places to get my axle done at. I want the original axle dropped, I dont want to replace it with the speedway setup...something about it scares me. Not saying it wouldnt hold...but I already know my axle will if dropped properly.

He dropped the axle & steering arms, tanked & magnafluxed it too. I felt the same way about wanting MY axle back... weird, but it makes sense too.

PM Kris. I think he did a hell of a good job, and am only too happy to recommend him.

First attempt to post pics:) 61 Uni I picked up about three months ago. All I have done so far put in seatbelts, all new brakes with disks up front, tightened up the carburator, and changed a rear axle bearing.
