Does anyone recognize this hubcap?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by thecheappolock, Jul 21, 2010.

  1. I found this in the s**** yard today. It doesn't have any markings on it that I can see. Does anyone know what it came off of? I need to find another.

    Thanks,

    Dan

  6. Five different ebay sellers say 1951-52 Chrysler, Windsor or New Yorker.

  7. Thanks, I thought it was probably from the early 50's. Was this the same cap that was on the chopped and channeled Olds from Valley Customs? I think Neil Emory was the owner.

  9. You're talking about the Polynesian. It was built by Neil Emory at Valley Customs, but was owned by Jack Stewart. One of my all time favorite customs.

I looked around Rikster's amazing custom site, and the hubcaps on both versions of the car were different than the ones mentioned here. Definitely a nice looking hubcap with alot of potential.

Here are a few pictures showing the two different types of 'caps on the car--courtesy of Rikster's Custom Car Photo Archive................E
