twochops, Thanks! I will work on that 1959 Ranchero. For a lot of years I said that the 1959 Ranchero might be the ugliest vehicle Ford ever produced (I can say that ‘cause I drive one). It would be fun to tweak it so it gets some respect. Thanks, Mike
There used to be a 57 ranchero running around here with a 57 or 58 edsel front clip on it evidently the noses are interchangable it looked really cool and different! Sorry no pics.
I have a model of this one. Had it for about 15 years I think. I used to have a blk/white 57 with a 11 tooth 55 desoto grill. It was a pretty neat car. I saw one david Guyman chopped 20 years ago that was a nice truck.
Call me crazy, but i really don't like the look of a chopped Ranchero. It just doesn't work for my eyes, and the proportion looks off. Just my humble opinion. Twochops, what is the car in your avatar? got a bigger pic?
I came across this 57 Ranchero in Blanding UT last summer for I believe $1500. Owners name was Tim at the Canyonlands Campground 435 678-9922. Good Luck
Believe it or not, this is the Fortier/Rizzo Ranchero After a crunch induced sheetmetal transplant, (looking like it's been bumped again too!) I can relate... daily traffic has its episodes. I think it is being used as a driver, I see it once in a while, sometimes with moon discs. Here's mine last month, But I have the rear bumper sorted now-
NO! Keith, did whomever owns it now have to replace the entire front clip? Without the Edsel stuff, it's just a chopped Ranchero...with no Edsel stuff. Looks more like it's ready to enter a local stock car race.
How's the curved windshield deal on these cars dealt with, when the top gets chopped??? Mart3406 ===========================================
You lean the gl*** back and cut off the bottom edges. Awful tough to chop a curved windshield more than 2" or so.
