While cruising that favorite auction site
... I saw this really nice 57 300 series FORD
    ... and it is BLACK.

It is even fairly close to my home ... but it is too, too expensive for me ...

    428 FE with a 4 speed ...

I would have to get rid of one of the BLACK Fords I already have ... to buy this one ... but it might be worth it

Love the "cheapie" sedan sleepers. This one couldn't be much better looking. And a 428, 4-speed....tough to beat that combo!

My little sister used to go out with a kid [central Oregon] in '65-66 that had an identical black custom 300...had a real live dual quad 427/top loader 4 speed. Even had the same dog-dish caps.

It was listed @ 49 grand ... and you most likely could not build it for that.

It is @ Jackie Jones Ford dealership in Georgia.

Jim Cherry's is a genuine business coupe with no back seat. Every bit as nice as this one. I believe it is a 428 also.

That's where I saw it and drooled all over the pavement. It has 428 on the front fenders. That's the only thing that I would change. Real sleepers don't brag about the size of their engine.:D

Real business coupes have a special place in my heart and I can remember just about every one I've seen and where I saw them in the last 25 years.

Sorry I used the wrong term. 55 and up are business sedans.
