well i've decided after a few requests to have a hamb get together at my shop again this year ! those who attended last year said they had a pretty good time and asked if i would do another one so here we go ! everyone is welcome , i will provide food and beverage again ! would like to get some input as to what dates would work best for everyone ? i'm thinking somewhere between sept and early oct as we are farmers and will be in the fields towards the middle of oct ! anyways wanted to get this up in advance and see if we could increase the size of the turnout ! it's all free and nothing required other than you come have a good time ! people drove their cars last year but your more than welcome just to run up in a daily driver if you wish ! thanks everyone i will add more info as we go ! my shop is centrally located about 12 miles north of marshalltown ! thanks and looking forward to hearing from everyone

Sounds good to me, I couldn't make it last year. I'll subscribe to the thread and keep an eye out for a specific date.

Either date would probably work for me. I just need to get it on the wife's calendar.

    I'm in..... BUT!!!

you should start an email list for reminders... I know, you would think that we would remember a date but if alot of the guys are like me... I will plan on going and then forget the week of the party and never make it like I did last year....

I got busy with work and didn't have time to check the HAMB board ( I know there is no excuse for that but it happens)

I'll plan to make it if I remember.

  10. Im there man. It was fun last year with our caravan that made it down. I should be free except for the last weekend of aug, its my baby girls 1st birthday! Cant tell how proud I am huh.

ok a fellow hamber asked that it not be the 18th due to a conflicting schedule so looking like the 11th or possibly the 25th ! earlier would be better as we will be getting equipment ready for harvest late sept !

I'm pretty sure my car would survive a 1/8 mile stretch of gravel road without needing restored. I like the Email idea for the "Memory Challenged" (not me, of course). Time, date, and directions would be great. klurich@mchsi.com

I love Grinnell! We've had 17 family members go through the college and a couple living in town-including a real SOB ex-son-in law:(.

Any of you Iowans know how the Spaulding being restored for the Iowa Museum of transportation is comes along?

I was there when they discovered the old Spaulding Car parts in the old factory ,,my Wifes father had bought one ,he still had parts of one hanging in the rafters of his barn ,,along with an old Doctors cariage/buckboard ,,he donated it all to the museum before he died ,,
my wife of 26 years p***ed away from cancer in '05 ,,she grew up in Grinnell ,,her brother and his kids farm the farm now ,,
