In regard to taking photos, First Amendment law nationally has consistently ruled that if you can see it from the street, then it's legal to photograph it.

I have to assume that holding up a camera over your head and shooting into a window, might be a gray area, but I suspect the landlord would have a hard time getting much traction with law enforcement.

 

I don't see a "NO TRESPASSING" Sign, he's all good!
