302 oil pressure

changed out the heads on my 302 ford. Runs good but oil pressure is now really low. Checked with a second gauge, same reading as the old one. What is going on?

 

Did you only change the heads? Nothing else

 

other than oil and filter thats all. Same filter that I was using before.

 

Gasket blocking a p***age?

 

Are you using a mechanical or electric gauge?Ithink you may have gotten a tiny piece of crud in the pressure port.There are no pressure p***ages in the heads except for pushrods.You also could have gotten alot of **** down in the pan and it is blocking the pickup.

 

Try a different (new) oil filter (you could have gotten a bad one), provided you didn't get a lot of **** in the pan, and pick up tube like 65comet suggested.
