Got my car 95% wired and my turn signals don't work. 4 way flashers do, but not the turn signals. I don't have the dash indicator lights hooked up yet, but would that keep em from working? Fuse is good, I'm stumped. by the way, the speedway halogen conversion for original headlights is pretty slick. I used the turn signals that mount off them also....

Are you checking it with a test light by chance? If so ,it may not have enough load on the flashers to make them work.Don't ask how I know. [IMG]

GM column, wired with the GM type connector. Guess maybe flasher is bad. Can you switch the 2 flashers around to test?

You should be able to swap the 4 way flasher can for the turn flasher can without any problems. Gene

Should be able to switch to test.

But first confirm you are getting power to the flasher. If you wired this the conventional way the emergency flasher will work with the igntion switch in the off position, but the turn signals will only work if the key is turned to on or accessory.

Check the ignition switch and then confirm power is getting to the flasher.

Hey.. I helped a pal out with a turn signal problem just recently. what you really need is a wiring diagram, so track one of those down. first things first, unplug the steering column harness and jumper the pin that goes to the flasher to the pin that goes to the signals (either right or left front or back) on the car side (as opposed to the column side) harness. if you get the lights to come on and flash, you have a defective signal switch or incorrect column wiring. If you get no lights, then jumper a positive wire from the fuse box "always on" (12V+) circuit to turn signal output on the car side column harness connect and see if you can get the lights to even come on. if they all come on solid (including the dash pilot), then your flasher is probably defective. you may just want to purchase a new flasher anyway, because they're like $4 at any auto parts place and it'll rule it out completely. if the lights still don't come on, verify all the connections are routed properly. On the truck I was working on, the signal wires were accidentally connected right to ground due to poor color code selections on the wiring harness.
