Went to the KKOA Lead Sled Spectacular this past weekend. "Wow" is all I can say !! Great show, great new venue. Got to meet a lot of Hambers as well as KKOA Hall of Famers and Legends. I plan on going Louisville for the Nats, so I have a week to get there from Salina instead of going back home to SC. Anything going on next weekend in St. Louis or Evansville etc. or anywhere along the route? Thx Chris
Chris, I stared and drooled (sorry if I dripped anything on your car) at your Caddy many times over the weekend. What a beautiful ride!! You are a very talented guy! Congrats on the win in Salina.
Chris, I too made several p***es to get just one more look at the details in your Caddy. Amazing work. Congrats.
Chris, was good to meet you and chat with you and your wife for a while...you're a lucky dog to have TWO gorgeous creatures in your life...that Caddy convert is one of no doubt one of a kind. I hope my next project, the '48 Sedanet I have, comes out as nice... R-
Thanks guys appreciate the compliments. It was our first time to Salina, we'll be back next year. Hopefully have a new ride ready. Don..... enjoyed spending time with you and your wife. Great Buick ! Roger, I was glad to have met you and your brother, and enjoy reading your posts and build thread. My wife read your post and is now an admirer of you. She says thx. Now, what do we see or do on our way to Louisville?
Depending on which way you opt for and which roads...Route 66 runs from Joplin east for ways, you can go to the artist - Lowell Davis - community of Red Oak II...just out of Carthage, it's quite an eclectic collection of Americana... Belle Starr lived in one of the buildings there. And just east of Carthage and Springfield, is Branson...if you haven't been there, that's an adventure. Of course, there are lots of things to see in Kansas City if you elect to go that way... Tour-wise, Kentucky has Bowling Green -the Corvette ***embly plant, and Mammouth Caves are just north of there... R-
