If we "acted our age", most of us wouldn't have any fun at all.

Have fun but don't go to far cuase you've got some pretty wicked hills in that neighborhood. You'll probably have to get off and push.

I sold one without an engine for $50 Friday. Been sitting about 2 years, decided I was never going to build it. Kept the 5 horse i was going to use.

I don't know that looks like a pretty big engine. I put a 5hp on the one I sold at a swap last year and I think it would have climbed telephone poles if it could have got traction.

That can't be a pretty sight a 67 year old man on a doodlebug. I'll do it though.
Been futzing around with it some today. Trying to get it started. It's 100+ degrees out there. I repeat what's wrong with me.

You asked for it. Not a pretty sight. I did get it running this morning. The points were black. Seems to run good despite the weed eater carb. that was on it with the manifold sealed with goop. I made an aluminum adapter.

Better get a brain bucket. 20 bucks and you can still put food on the table, a good hobby

I sure look like a retard in those pictures. I've been called worse.

  25. from the rear seat suspension, it appears that you have found an old "El Tigre" minibike, sold by JC Penney, back in the 1960's... is the frame chrome, or was it?

<edit. yep, after supersizing the photo, what you got is an El Tigre, with the wrong engine, think they came with about 2.5 or 3.5 horse Briggs and Stratton motors... I had a Honduh 6.5 horse OHV motor in my El Tigre, it scared the shit outta me (only that one scrub brake on the back tire) so I sold it. Plus, I didn't want to spring for a good competition clutch, and the cheapo versions didn't last too well, launching by big butt on it...

What are you going to do with three knees?

  27. This doesn't seem to be showing up when I hit the "edit" button, and then "save" it will probably show up later, and make me look like a buffoon....
