anyone know this car, or it's owner? I have been looking for anyone with any detailed info about this car, especially the engine, trans, rear, front suspension...stuff like that. Anyone know anything about it?
Hillybilly, I think you'd get more info if you change the title of the thread to mention "Mr. Bardahl". I'm sure there are people on the board who knew him personally. Bill owned Green Valley Raceway, and was a major player in the AHRA.

I was gonna take a wild guess and say Bill Hielschers too based entirely on the paint ,,,,and the fact that his names on the timing tower!. The paint is similar to his "Mr Bardahl" paint scheme he used on his Vette. Look very closely at the last part of Two Lane Blacktop and unless I'm mistaken you should see Bill's car at the drags .

that car is/ was called double ugly it was bbc powered for a while look on ardmore dragway.com, there is a guy on here "dragnews" he has some pics and can tell you all the history you need! you lookin to sell it or trade? p.m me if you have any questions!
In fact the car has been found and may actually be at the Hot Rod Reunion at Ardmore Sept.4. Sorry to bust a bubble but Bill Hielscher never owned the car and there is no Bill Jr. I did a small story on the car on ardmoredragway.com and we are also doing a top 50 cars of all time that ran at the track since 1955. I will tell you this it's in the Top 5. stay tune for the countdown.
I trade for her about a month ago. Not sure of direction yet. Maybe a Alky injected Blown BBC is in her future. She will make her debut at the thaw. I saw that cool 60 chevy this year. It could be quite a show if we could match race these two. Nostagia Drags coming up in October at Temple Academy. Yep I'm thrashing. Best way of life I have found. Don't you just love the smell of burnt Methanol in the morning Hill Rat
