Hello all, Just moved to Mountlake Terrace WA, from Ballard WA. During the move I gave some stuff away on craigslist and happened to meet up with a couple good ol' boys from the HAMB, who helped me haul my car up here, which was and is greatly appreciated. I bought a 1935 Ford 2 door sedan slant back in 2003 and have had it holed up in my garage in Ballard ever since. Installed a 9" rear on parrallel leaves from Ch***is ENG. back in 03 and cleaned up the frame a little. Not much else has changed since then. I have collected some cool parts for the car including a nice set of buckets out of a 66 LTD and a pair of Toploader 4 speeds to pair up with the Ford motor I plan on using. Got a little history turning wrenches. Since high school I was involved in circle track racing with late 60's to mis 70's Chryslers, pit crew and field support for years and then driving my own car for a season in 1996, then 4 wheeling with a couple rigs including a Dodge Powerwagon, then a Scout 2 and finally a Toyota solid axle, admitadly an import but by far the best 4wheeler of the three. In 2001 I met an old hot rodder from the north end of Seattle who has a 35 5 window he has had since 1961, which was built in the 60's and last painted in 69 with laquer. He is the guy credited with getting me into the old cars and convinced me to buy the sedan. I need some help with motivation on the car as it has gathered dust for seven years in the garage. Going to be looking at getting a motor soon. Hoping for a Ford or another worthy enginge. Hopefully not a chev small block. Anyways if youve got a 35/36 and you wanna share info or parts or live close and wanna hang. Or just have good advice for a traditional car newbie like myself please give me a shout. Carc***, P.S. Thanks again to the two that got my car up hear. I owe you guys.
