I bought a part finished 1929 Model A Coupe project and was given several boxes of loose parts. After sorting out most stuff I have ended up with a couple of items are am not sure where they go or if they a even model A items. I hope the pic's are good enough to ID these items. Your help would be appreciated if you know. Many thanks, Russ.
Think the one on the right in the picture of three is the latch keeper for the trunk lid that mounts on the inner trunk rear roll pan- but I have a 31 and it's probably different.. You might try posting them over on the Ford Barn
I believe the long one is an interior body brace that is held in place by screws located below the 1/4 windows on the left or right. Fixed at an angle. Stumped on the rest I'm afraid.
the 2 last ones look like motorcycle / harley steering bearing cups but its hard to tell from them pics
Small piece is a coupe trunk latch bracket, next smallest piece is a coupe brace that ties the quarter panel to the wheel well, and the large piece I dont know for sure but my guess is the inner door brace.
the large piece goes inbetween the wood top bow and the body to hold the top bow in place once it has the fabric on it on a sports coupe....maybe tk
Thanks guys, boy that makes things alot easier to work out. I am still scratching my head about those small chrome items, maybe they dont belong to a Model A at all!!!
I think the two bigger parts are the ones in the pictures below. The longer one is the angled brace from the quarter window to the door jam and the second one goes from rear of cab down to the sub rail. Pictures are the greatest but I think you get the idea. Red
The medium length piece is a window stop. Goes inside the door on the vertical brace, and is supposed to have a rubber bumper on the top ledge. The long part is the rear quarter window brace, as previously shown, and the small part is a trunk latch as suggested. The small round parts may have something to do with the windshield link holddown screw clamps, but a better pic is needed.
