My dad is moving and we found a box of old hood ornaments he's had for a long time. Just wanted to see if you guys knew what some of it was and if it was worth anything? Not too much interested in selling, more so just curious!! Thanks for any and all help!
The spanish guy is the explorer known as Hernando DeSoto....I don't know what year..40s to early 50s DeSoto I'd say
next to that a Plymouth...see a Mayflower I think...next a PLY maybe and the last...still think it's a Mopar....
The DeSoto is from a '51, I had an identical one from the '51 I parted out for the grille/pan. The second one I'm not sure about. The third one I'm fairly sure is 51-52 Plymouth, and the last one says Hudson to me but I'm not sure about that.
I've been looking for the last few days and Desoto is the closest thing I could come up with too, but nothing EXACT, so thanks Squablow. Thanks to all for the input. Anybody else know for sure, please chime in!! Dunno what I'm gonna do with these, but figured they were pretty cool. Also found some old oil cans and tire patches in their boxes that were in this same box.
