I never met Rich personally, but I thoroughly enjoyed the fruits of his labors for nearly 20 years at Paso and Santa Maria. My condolences to his family and RIP, Rich. Thanks for everything.
Godspeed, Rich. Condolences to Penny and the family. The car world is better for Rich's efforts. May his vision live on and on...

My Condolences to Penny and family. What a strong woman it must take, and she has always been a pleasure to talk with. I truly believe he is in a better place now, without suffer or pain. Truly a pioneer in the resurgence of the Kustom Lifestyle, many an artist and shop owner owe their careers to this man, for being a top builder in the foundation of this culture. Godspeed, and wishing Rich & Larry a peaceful journey.
Rest in Peace Rich ~ May your spirit be flying high! I usually get the greatest emails from Penny and my heart broke when I read this mornings email. Our thoughts and prayers are with Penny and her entire family now and as time p***es. It's never easy, no matter what the situation is to lose someone. They created quite the extended family with West Coast Kustoms and I know we'll all step up and do our best to support The De Rosa Family
RIP Rich Pichette. The West Coast Crusin' Nationals (Paso Robles) changed the way I look at cars and it literally changed my life. I don't know if there would be a Deadend Magazine if we'd never gone to Paso Robles about 11 years ago. -Juan
****** John brought Rich to Our car show hear at My place in 04, I think it was one of the last shows He attended, when Larry told Me He was in the hospital We all signed a hub cap for Him to hang on His wall. He was one nice Guy. R I P
Sunnymead Burgers cruise, one of the first shows attended after getting back into the game in the late '80s. And then the Crusin Nationals in Paso. These were loads of fun. Thank's for helping light the torch Rich.......R.I.P.
It's been a rough couple of weeks! Sorry to hear this Penny! My thoughts are with you. I think he's in a better place now. The last few years weren't very kind to him.
Going on the road and cruising Paso Robles was absolutely some of the best times I ever had. I can say without a doubt it absolutely changed my life and led to some of the best friendships I have. There would absolutely be no Lonestar Round Up if it weren't for the inspiration, fun, and warm welcome we always got there. Mine and all if the Kontinentals thoughts are with Penny and her family, and all of the great West Coast Customs crew. Thanks for everything.
Rich left his mark on the KUSTOM scene. RIP Rich, thoughts to Penny and family, and to ****** John who was there for Rich. Roger & Marie
I went to Paso for the first time in 2000. I was glad to see white walls and tuck and roll. It was a good thing to see it is still alive and well. I met Penny for the first time this year a Viva, it was Kool to see how dedicated she is to the car show. When my brother p***ed the Elders said to me, now I p*** it on to you... "We will pray for you and your family. For he is now in a better place, no pain or suffering. For you are still here feeling that pain and suffering" Those words made me feel better, I hope they do the same for the Pichette family..... ShadowBird
