The neat thing about cutting the top off is you have to put it back on. So Just cut it off and hope for the best. :p.

    Uhh....brace it first!

The chop is a bit off yet, I'm gonna brace the shit out of it first!;)I will keep the bits I remove as I have hard time throwing old Ford bits away!!!!:D:DI cut down the front shock mounts today, the shocks sit right in the middle of their travel now and the headlight sit nice and low too!:)I'll post some pictures tomorrow.

Mark, I'll take a shit load of picture tomorrow, just to prove I ain't just been sitting on me arse!!!!:D:D:D:D:D;)I think the chassis looks a LOT better with holes filled in, it just came like that when I bought it from Beanie. The thing I think is with speed holes once you've got some you need to stick to that path and have shit loads of 'em!:D

Mark, I think the fucker will leak like a bastard as it is without giving water even more places to get in through!:D;)I'm moving house soon, so I'll have to work on my ''A'' in a smaller garage for a while until I get me nice wooden garage built.I've always wanted a wooden garage and I can't wait.I just hope it don't knock my plans too far sideways.

  12. Hey Nick,

O.K. Heres a bit more of an up-date.I've been doing some more frame/chassis work. The rear shocks are now in a more normal place, I had them angled forwards mounted to the bottom ladder-bar bolts! They looked shit and were streched too much, not enough travel left. Now they sit mid point in the their length.I've also cut down the front shock mounts 2 1/2'' and mounted the headlights I got last weekend. I'm not too sure about the headlight mounts at the moment, I'll more than likely change 'em as I not to keen on running a headlight bar.I've also lost all the speed holes in the front frame rails, YIPPEE!:D;)I never dug 'em so filling the buggers in!I've also made a new gearbox mount too, which took a bit of working out due to the gearbox mount sitting ''pissed'' as we say over here!!!:DAlso boxed in the ladder bar front mounts, they should hopefully be strong enough now.

Nick, have you considered welding the headlamp mounts to the shock mounts? As you say,if you leave them where they, you'll need a headlamp bar to tie them together. Without it they'll move about like a dick in a shirt sleeve!
Frame looks loads better with the holes filled.
Nice to see you're making progress, good work.
    Cheers,Mark

Matt, Theres been quite a bit of progress since I last posted some pictures, I just been lazy and not up-dated the thread!I'm moving soon to a house with a BIG garage so that should aid the build no end!I will have to do an up-date at some point as the body is now back on the chassis and the shims are in place on the now correctly mounted body, so the door gaps are real nice!
