Somebody must have save one of the spec sheets that comes with a Quadrajet kit, and it wasn't me. I've got the new br*** float, and would like to set it properly. I didn't save the sheet from the kit I used when I rebuilt the carb a year ago ( I didn't replace the float at that time, and it turned into a "sink" rather than a float ). If anybody is more organized than I, and you've got the specs for a Quadrajet for a '68 Caddy, could you let me know? I searched on line for quite a while this am and can't find the proper specs, it's all generic. Thanks! Oh, don't bother telling me the Quadrajet should be replaced, that's not happening
I dont have the spec sheets, but I just rebuilt my 1970 buick 455 Q-jet last week. A friend over at the corvetteforum.com who is the Q jet expert suggested that on the older Qjets such as ours, he recommends 3/8'' which is a bit more then what the rebuild sheet stated. The carb is running fine now, no issues
