I tested a 3/8 trany line left it in a week of fluild and the fluild turned a nasty color...

  2. How about getting the longest front flex. brake hose and cutting the ends off. I'm pretty sure they make them in about 3/8 dia.

It might be easier to adapt to smaller fittings, use regular brake line.

You are planning on using glycol based brakefluid?
    What about siliconebased instead ??

You can use #6 braided [ 3/8" I.D. ] with the nylon liner for brakes. Not sure they make it in #6. Why do you need such a big line for the brakes? JC

I bought the remote brake fluid reservoir and master cylinder cap kit from Kugel Komponents. It came with a 3/8" ID rubber hose, about 6 feet of it, to connect the remote reservoir to the under-floor MC. The info printed on the hose says Thermoid/CS (? hard to read), 300psi. If you can't source it locally, try calling them, maybe they will sell you a length of it.

As a test, I cut a 3" length of it and immersed it in brake fluid within a container. It's been sitting in it for about 6 months, and I see no signs of it breaking down in any way. I hope this helps.

Hydraulic clutch systems also use brake fluid. Given the number of remote reservoir master cylinders used for those systems, I wouldn't be surprised if you could find something marketed for that application.

Go to junkyard and find a 4th gen 1993-2002 Camaro/Firebird with a manual trans.
They use a remote clutch reservoir with a rubber hose that should work fine.
