Actually the car was a dark gold, butterscotch/Cinnamon(hmm getting hungry!) color first, and was later repainted in a dark blue. Not quite sure when it was repainted blue. Possibly when Gil changed the 46 Ford bumpers to the 49 Plymouth bumpers. The car looks a bit darker in the photos with the new bumpers. But I'm not sure about this.

Hey guys, sorry for not posting up much lately but was put under the knife and all is well now.I am gonna have to kick ass to catch up to Steve(Koolkemp)lol. Here are some pics of my vent windows cut.
Went over to Bruces' "KICKASS" shop(Dreracecar)to get them tig welded since i am not equipt,Bruce did the deed and i am stoked at the results,Thanks again Bruce.I've been able to get some primer on the body, but did not finish since i ran out of primer and...energy,how do you do Koolkemp! I made a pattern of the new opening once i arrived at the size(measured many times). The piece laying next to each frame is what i ended up removing.Just need to dress down the welds and polish. As far as the body goes,it is pretty much done with the exception of the front end.Looks cool  Anyway check out the pics.will post more when i have something else completed.Oh ya,as far as the color being green like the Lopez car, that was the direction, then i changed and went with the Ayala tribute idea.

Fantastic.... glad you are back on it?
    Looks really good in primer.

Have you been in contact with RussV on the grille. He is cutting a 1942 Ford upt to sort of recrate the Pete Brock Convertible. I'm not sure if they will keep the grille or replace it with a 1947 units to match the Pete Brook car.... You can always ask.

    Check it out HERE

Thanks for the positive vibes fellas.I finally got all my parts that i needed to recreate the grille for this project.I ended up getting two grille sets to make one.The Ayala car had the grille extended in order to fill in the original opening on the front end.So i ended up splicing some pieces together.I will weld them up and finish the welds then i will start the fitting to the front........next time i will post pics of that process. It's going slow and easy, but it will get done.
