Here's my '60. I've had it a few years. Needs interior work and some cosmetic but she's mechanically strong (and 99% mechanically original)...with just around 102k original miles. She's up for sale now but here's a picture of her at her peak.

Here is my old 64, bought it for $1800 in 1969 at a specialty car lot just North on Vancouver, WA. It was a factory 4spd car with factory tach and 300hp 327. Drove it for a few weeks and it started to burn oil. Took it back to the dealer and he said it had two bad cylinders (rings I think and both were on the same cylinder bank) and said he would tear that side down and re-ring it. When I asked him if he would re-ring the whole motor he said no, so I asked him how much it would cost him and said $200...............so I said give me the $200 and I will do it myself..........so he did. My grandfather was the machinest at Baxter Auto Parts in Portland and gave me sometype of adative to put in and the motor never used a drop of oil after that. Back in the day (1969/70) nobody lowered their cars, just set them up in the air a little..........it was the look back then. I was no different and used 64 Station Wagon Coils both front and rear along with traction bar lower arms in the rear which changed the pinion angle.............It was sweet car and I wish I still had the Impala, it was a keeper.........................but sold it and bought a new Z28 in 1970.
