Heres my pics from midnight m***. one hell of a show!!!! I cant get them to upload on here, they might be too big. But here is the link to my photobucket album. I hope this works http://s599.photobucket.com/albums/tt74/Luke_Sprenkel/
Sorry guys, didnt check to see if there were other m*** picture threads, just went straight to 'create a new thread' sorry to make the like 5th m*** pictures thread. btw ~ the link does work to my 130 pictures.
Here are some pics I shot... I have about 200 high resolution (4 meg) pics up on my Flickr site...click the link to check them out. Overall thoughts on Midnight M*** this year, decent venue, parking a bit of a pain unless you got there early. Gone were the misplaced lowriders from last year. The traditional rod to junker ratio was a bit off in my opinion, but I suppose any good rod has to start somewhere. I miss the smaller shows of years past. Lots of nice Betties roaming the grounds. Good mix in the vendor area, pinups, artwork, clothing, speed equipment and let's not forget the H.A. recruiting booth. I would have liked to have seen more vintage racers and scoots though...
Just starting to get feeling back in my feet from all the walking around. Thanks to everyone who attended last night. We had over 700 cars and 7,000 spectators. Hope everyone had fun. To everyone who post pictures: mind if I copy them for our web site?
Yeah i kinda agree about the parking von..... it wasnt too big of a deal for the guys with electric fans and good cooling.. but for guys like me who started to overheat, it was kinda stressful.
Sure bruce, you can take all the ones you want from mine. Didnt get a chance to say hi, but the show was once again great!
Bruce or anyone else for that matter...feel free to steal all you like. However, if you are going to ****** a pic, best to do it from my Flickr site as the pics are far larger and you can resize however you like... http://www.flickr.com/photos/27833232@N07/ I just saw that there are multiple threads...maybe one of the nice moderators will join them? I'll second that! Sickgirl's '55 Coronet was suffering some serious heat soak on the way in, and a sticky hood latch didn't help much . We made it in eventually, but we definitely had to take a few "unscheduled breaks" on the way in. The view from the outside just after the turn... Halfway in, waiting for the car to cool down and the line to subside again... Evidence we did actually make it in! Hood still only partially latched though I took a bunch of pictures, haven't gotten around to re-sizing them yet though since I was at the Reno swap most of the day. Maybe later tonight.
yeah moparmonkey, i was really close to starting to overheat bad, i heard it start to whistle and was starting to freak out.. then the cop had to search all 4 of my ice chests and he said 'leave the vehicle on, your going to hold up traffic' lol i almost lost it... lol but after that everything was amazing
We just said "we don't have any ice chests". No search. Of course, we didn't have any, but they didn't know that. The Coronet was boiling all the fuel out of the fuel bowl. Wasn't really running hot either, and it had fuel to the carb and would run off starter fluid. But nothing but vapor in the fuel bowl. But like you said, we made it in and it was an awesome show. Here are some of the pictures I took, I tried to put up stuff that hasn't been posted yet, with couple exceptions for shots I thought came out well. I took a ****load of pictures, and these are downsized and lo-res versions of the originals.
Thanks for pics-much better tans the asphalt at Cal Expo. if event is held there again next year hopefully problems with parking can be smoothed out a bit. Thanks for show
