Here is a friends 34 4 door sedan he built,I thought you guys might like a look at some cool steel....... He lurks here,so Ill just call him John for the record...... [some metal work&Top chop/filled roof by me]
Ya know, there is a 4-dr '34 I've seen around the Portland area and I keep phantasizing about it dropped reaaallly low and lopping the top off. Making a Tub of sorts. That ride is really nice.
That is very cool. I have a 33 4dr that "someday" will look similar to that. Just gotta finish the 29 PU, then the 29 Coupe, then the.........C.F.
I think Jim Jacobs built this one. I also liked the "Kandy Tangerine" Deuce Fordor that was featured in Street Rodder.
I have some Metal pics of this one....... here is the front posts laid back so needs no cutting on top of roof......
Choprods, is that a "slant"-chop, or a regular chop? If the latter, have you ever done a slant chop on a '33 or '34 Fordor? How much harder is it? My '33 hiboy project isn't chopped yet, and I want a little more taken out of the front than in the back. But I've got to talk to someone that's done it first!
two words: skip readio http://users2.ticnet.com/earlyhemi/354/skip.htm haven't yet figgered out how to post a pic here so here's a link to a pic: http://users2.ticnet.com/earlyhemi/354/morepic.htm
Yeah Atch- I remember that car from when I used to attend the SR'Nats. also do you remember that Black 32 chevy 4 dr with the gr***&wildflowers and scenery shaded all around the lower body?whew!we are old!
i won't tell how old you are if you won't tell how old i am. actually i just changed my editor choice and wanted to see how it works now. sorry to 'jack your post.
Yea, I see it, Choprods. When I posted the question, the pics hadn't yet appeared for me. But what you did really improved the look. Other than the A pillar treatment and the slant on the front edge of the door, is there anything else that you do? Is the amount taken out of the lid the same, front to back?
