I am now in the market for a good, inexpensive (not cheap) spray gun (or guns). It (they) will not be used much, but would like to have something that will hold up. Mostly hobby-style projects, with the goal of getting good enough to paint my own truck. Any recommendations?
Try a devilbliss finishline gun fairly inexpensive and sprays well http://www.tcpglobal.com/spraygundepot/itemdetail.aspx?itemno=DEV+FLG-GUN-15-20
Try a devilbliss finishline gun fairly inexpensive and sprays well http://www.tcpglobal.com/spraygundep...+FLG-GUN-15-20 Good choice, get three tips, large for High build primer, and two smaller for finish and clear coat.
If price is important, you might consider old style " high pressure" guns . A Binks no. 7 will spray anything and can be bought used, cheap. These guns waste more material in overspray. They do better with primers/sealers than finish paint; as far as waste goes.
At work I use a Devillbiss "Starting Line" HVLP for big flat surfaces, and a cheap HF high-pressure gun for stuff that has a lot of contours / recesses / tubes. Works okay for spraying CARC and single-stage urethanes. The starting line guns can usually be found for around $100, and the HF guns are generally less than $20.
Find a used Sata NR3000 look for a 1.4 tip or if you spray alot of primer a 1.7 tip however this is kinda big for topcoat. Still wont be cheap used but it is worth the money.
this is iwata cheaper line they work real good for someone doing it as a hobby! i used the finishline guns for along time once i got one of these they all became primer guns. i do have satas and they are very good guns if your going to use them every day and rely on them to make money!
