Hello all, this is my first venture into anything older than 1960's vintage cars and this may be a dumb question, but i have been messing with the door handles and window cranks on my 48 ford sedan. I have worked on plenty of 60 - 70 cars and trucks but never have I run across handle and cranks like this. No clips holding these babies on. How the heck are they attached and is there a trick or a tool to get them off? I can see the holes for a set screw or something but can't see what I need to get the screws or whatever they are.

    Thanks in advance

There is a trick tool you could probably make, but all you really need is to hold down the ring hard against a spring and poke a little pin out of the exposed shank of the handle.

yes sir, I saw the holes in the shank wasn't sure if it was a pin or a screw, my eyes aren't as sharp as they once were. I will give it a try.
    Many thanks Bruce
