Is anybody bringing anything cool to sell or looking for anything? "gonna be hot". Just wondering what the turnout might be. I live close enough I will go anyway.
I may make it down there, my weekend plans arent real clear at the moment but if i come ill definitely be looking for '55 olds and '58 chevy parts, anything particular you will be after?
Canton, I-20 east take exit for highway 19 south about 1 mile and it will be on the right in a covered area.
This is not strictly an automotive swap meet(unless it has changed). Might get lucky and find some random auto parts?
Was going, But I got a chance to get away from work a few days , But will try to find a swapmeet in whatever state I end up in,
Hey Bill: This is 1 1/2 hours from me and the last time I went,I saw everything there in 20 minutes.....You're a lot farther than me....
Never know what will turn up.....thats the fun of swaps.....beside I'm on a 6 Saturdays and a Sunday schedule....
Last year a buddy picked up a 460 ford block, crank, rods, heads, standard bellhousing, and flywheel for $150. And it was all good after getting it inspected.
Bought a DVD 15 bucks "Return to Macon County" Doesn't work...GRRRRR!! I'm going back Sunday and try to catch the guy and get my money back. I didn't see much worth anything. Lots of non automotive stuff filtering in. It all depends on what you want or are looking for. I can't keep up with the prices so I always think everything is too high. All I bought was a metalflake steering wheel. 35 bucks?? A guy I know tried to by a 56 Ford ,guy wouldn't budge on the price,so he walked. I'm afraid most of the good stuff is gone and the pickings are getting slim. Lots of overpriced junk I see the same guys moving around the area swapmeets not selling. I don't see how they can afford to haul it all around and not sell it. Saw lots of vendors buying stuff on Fri. and taking to their spot and marking it up. Guess thats the swapmeet food chain at work???
