I want to pick some new hub caps for my buick as I cant afford rims right now. Not to mention finding nice 4 lug rims is seeming impossible.

I like a lot of the stuff Moon sells but I think my car is a little late for most of it.

    Any suggestions?

Great car. I'd lower the car a little, paint the rims red, install blackwalls and keep the Dog Dish hubcaps on it. Do NOT put beauty rings on as they will make your 14" rims look like 12" rims.
    Just my opinion...........Mike

If you can get a set of spiders, do it. Repaint the rims a nice semigloss black, clean up yer whitewalls with some powdered Comet on a wet rag and you'll be stylin. If you can't afford the Spiders, pick up some chrome bullet lugs and bullet center caps. Cheap and *****in.

couldn't find the spider caps on e bay, I will have to do some searchin.
I plan on painting the rims gloss black, the car isn't gonna stay red for long. Whoever painted it before I got it did a pretty ****py job. I plan on putting it in primer so I can start on some body work. Gonna lose that molding and the mirrors.

yeah it's pretty bad. It is riveted on so I am gonna wait to take it off till I am ready to fill the holes. The mirror that's on there is just one that was kicking around the guys shop. I am gonna fill the holes and use a peep mirror.

I can't seem to find 4 lug spider caps anywhere. Anyone know of a company that makes them?

I got some bullet lugs and caps for my current wheels. They seem a little small. They are 2 1/2 x 1 3/4

The next size up is 3 1/4 x 3. The diameter on this would be ok but they will stick out pretty far.

    What do you all think?

  11. Don't buy the caps from Moon. The ones that don't fly off everytime you drive your car will star rusting a week after you put them on. They're Chinese chrome not stainless.

Honestly, I like it better the way it was before.

I dig dog dish caps more than bullets though.

I have 2 of those cars, get a set of 280Z 14 inch wheels and then there are lots of caps you can run. I have an extra set of the wheels if you need them.

I actually got a set of 15s from another Hamber. I figure I will run these since they have new tires on them. I have plenty of other stuff to spend money on now. I will probably put the 15s on after paint and body work.

It was popular for awhile back in the mid-late 60's to run Cal Custom or other brand Baby moon hubcaps on black rims and thin white walls. I think JCWhitney still sells them.
