I'm trying to assemble this Mr. Gasket inline shifter and was wondering if anyone had an illustrated drawing of one. I'm not having any luck locating one. I was taking pictures when I was disassembling it but when I got to the point were I had to drive a pin out with a punch, the whole thing fell apart.
Got one in the garage.Tommorow I will see if I can find paperwork.I keep all that crap, just have to dig through it.No guarantee, though.
best i can do is a picture of mine. only difference is mine triggers UP for the reverse lockout instead of having the separate lever... i'll snap a shot and post it for ya tomorrow in the hopes that it'll help. complicated little boogers aren't they?
never fear, the HAMB is here! last 1 i had was in a 66 nova and bangin gears with that thing was too much fun! not to mention, it's a great theft deterrent. most people got no idea how they work and if yer paranoid, jam it in 1st AND reverse when you park and nobodys goin nowhere with it.
i hope these help ya. gawd knows i've had my ass saved a few times on here. almost forgot to mention, i grew up in council bluffs.... us iowa boys gotta look out for one another.
Spent many years with a Vertical Gate shifter by my side, driving and cleaning it as they don't work well on a driver without constant cleaning and lubricating. But, its been so long I cant remember the assembly, never thought I would forget that!
I took the wrong bolts out of my Hurst vertigate last week and it fell apart. It is the same shifter that you have cause mr. gasket owned hurst then. I got mine back together and it works but I would like a blown up picture for future reference. Hurst @B&M has nothing on it. I do have drawing of it together.
Found the install sheet.Doug Nash 5 spd. Did not find a blow apart sheet of the shifter itself. Excuse the garage patina. Won't help you but wtf,I dug it out might as well post it.
