hello, name is jesse, just became the proud owner of a 53 chevy 210 thats got a solid body and good drivetrain. reside in northern alberta and am completly torn weather to start tearing into it with the standard mods, v8, shaved ect or punch out the 235 and do it up as more of an old school rod. great fourms here been reading for awhile and looking forward to building now.
thanks alot guys, looking forward to digging into these boards, there a wishing well of information. cheers jesse
well thanks for the welcome anyway the car looks great from a distance, but she needs a little love, found out it has a full pressure 235 so one step ahead of the game. last couple were just with the phone.
At least make Damn sure that any future changes is for making the Car better, rather than just for the sake of making a change. JMO. firstnomad
Welcome from the left coast. Nice car! I think you should keep the 235 in it. Lots of info on this board in regards to the engine if you need it.
agreed, around here the big dollar, high chrome mouse engines are done to death, although nice, not really what the wife and i are after, the longer we cruise with her, the more we like her how she is, plus as an added bonus she gets way more attention at cruise nights then alot of the high dollar rides. the mod plans are getting milder and milder, were opting to keep the 235, been in touch a little with patricks, and waiting on their catalog for some goodies to get her breathing and sounding a little better and hopefully a full rebuild this winter. Other then that all thats planned is some minor floorboard repair and interior work for now. the old girl has a lot of soul and character, so we will see what evolves from there. never had so much fun going so slow. thanks guys.
Welcome from a little further south. Patricks is great. I got my exhaust and intake manifolds from him for my 235. Super nice guy and easy to work with.
