I get a call from a friend of mine, He is heading to a show in Louisville, KY this week and is short some whitewalls. He missed the cut off for Coker to deliver to the show so he is semi frantic. Anyone know of a tire vendor in or near Louisville that might carry something? He has access to a tire machine so all he needs is the rubber. Or anyone close by there with some 225 or 215/75/15r's that want to unload. He is wanting a wide white wall.

He is driving from Central Arkansas to Louisville, KY.

Not sure if I have this in the right place, if not mods please move.

    Thanks

    Jason

    Grumpy1966,

Our big truck left early this morning, but if your friend can call me with his info today before 4pm, I’ll put a set in the back of my truck and bring them up.

Happy ending. A thanks goes out to Jess at Coker for going the extra little bit and helping out a customer.

Now if someone could make these wide whites affordable - 6 years ago they were within reach - but now - well when it is time I have to park the 18 year old Firestones I'll have to settle for thin white radials from Discount Tires!

A set of tires lastest you 18 YEARS?? I won't even go into tire rot or anything like that BUT if the next set is going to last you that long you might as well bite the bullet and go for the nice WWW from DiamondBack. I got Michelins and I think they were $220 each. Thats $50 bucks a year for rubber! ANYONE can afford that.

Hey girl, how you doing - no the tires didn't last me that long - I bought the car last year with the tires on it. I checked the manufacture stamp on the side wall and the code translated to 18 years old, and yes they have cracks and are hard, but they have a bunch of thread on them and have inner tubes in them. I bought a set of tires from Coker about 6 years ago, and the prices have gone thru the roof - I think they are taking advantage of us. OH well enough bitching - I hope everything is going good for you - seeya.
