It looks like a late '70's early '80's chevy full size pickup suspension to me.

If that's a pic of the truk in your avatar (the wheels stick out too far), and the steering box is in the front of the crossmember, then it's prolly a late 70's GM subframe...hard to say what it is tho...could be Camaro, could be Pontiac...could be truk as others have said...

The lower arm looks too heavy to be from a Camaro or Nova.

what is the bolt pattern? 5 on 5" is 73'-87' chevy 2wd truck. 5 on 4.75 is GM car pattern except fullsize they are same as chevy truck.

  9. 5x5 could be Chevy pickup, but also could be some of the full size Buick, Pontiac, Olds and Caddy cars (and all the wagons). However, the Chevy pickup has an unboltable crossmember, the others would have to be a subframe job - it should be relatively easy to determine that much, then it's just a matter of comparing parts to track it down - I'd try calipers or pads, pads particularly would be relatively easy to remove a set and take to a parts store and compare to what you think it might be.

Yup I concure on the pickup front end as I have a early 70's camaro clip under my truck and played hell figuring out what it was....

Best way I found was find you a patient parts store, bring in your idler arm, center link, an outer and inner tie rod and one disk and a caliper and start matching parts up.

Use the parts locator picture deal on the computer so you can get measurements and such first so you can at least narrow your field of search when you walk in the door....then start pulling parts and makin sure they're correct.

  12. Looks like the steering box is on the outside of the frame, which the pickup used. Most cars were bolted to the inside.
