    Everyone,
I am sure this has been covered before i but i cannot find a definite answer. I am putting a 350 in my 1952 Chevy sedan and i am using ch***is engineering mounts. I also have stock front suspension. What manifolds will fit this perfect where they will not run and the exhaust pipes can be run. I have a few junk yards that are full but i want to be able to go straight to what i need and get them. Not bring some home test fit. Can you give me years of the vehicles to please thanks for everyone's help!!!

We did the same swap to my 51 Chevrolet Business Coupe, now my nephews car. We used 94 Chevrolet Caprice LT1 Cop Car exhaust manifolds. The trick is to use manifolds that go OVER the plugs rather than BELOW them. The old 55-56 exhaust manifolds work very well also. Getting back to the LT1 Caprice manifolds, they are rear dump and have upswept runners, and almost look like big block MOPAR manifolds. They have independent runners, so they're almost like headers. We removed the tin covers from them, brazed up the AIR injection ports, and drilled a couple extra holes so they would bolt to "older" heads. They are designed to be used with the "newer" 7 bolt heads. They look good, the car sounds good, and I'm sure they're good for a few extra horsepower over other manifolds. Sorry, no pics, but we also used Ch***is Engineering mounts. Rams horns will only work on the p***enger side of the engine, the drivers side requires a front or rear dump to clear the steering box. So basically, any manifold that has over the plug runners and end dumps will work. You will have to modify the front firewall body supports for clearance. Butch/56sedandelivery.

Thanks for the help and i am having a pair of these caprice lt1 headers delivered today. These are hard to find luckily a buddy of mine owns a junk yard and just this week a 95 caprice came in. I am kinda confused about the 7 bolt u talked about when i look at these online they look like 6 bolt and even the gasket is 6 bolt can you shed a little light on this thanks again.

I had some 1970 (?) Chevy truck rear dumps on my 49 sedan with stock suspension and brakes. pedal got a little mushy and the brake pedal arm eventually hit the rear dump exhaust before the pedal went its full travel. this is not good if you want to stop before hitting something.

ended up going with Sanderson header$ $$$$

I have a 1994 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup 350 in my garage and it has rear dump manifolds, but I don't know if they'd work in a '49-54 Chevy. They do not look like good performance manifolds, though: pretty small internal p***ages.

I found a non egr manifold that I used on the driver
side. chevy trucks had em for years. Early ones don't have the holes as seen here.

I see them all over at swap meets for $10.
87-92 camaro has the same design, but you plug the egr holes.
