I had always admired Empire32 (Etienne) and look forward to seeing his work in the magazine (Powerglide) and on the HAMB TRULY talented guy in a LOT of different mediums - pinstriping, graphic design, photography, and his art..... You can see what he is up to on : http://empire32.blogspot.com/ Just a glance and you will see how talented this guy is..... We were surprised and very excited when he said that he would contribute to the art show. So Thanks to Empire32 and The HAMB for helping us out! info about the auction and who has helped out that some of you may not know: Not sure the HAMB knows what we put together for the Vintage Torque Fest. Jimmy Flintstone contributed helmets to the art show and these were sent out to the artists that agreed to help out back in October. The artists were asked to contribute whatever concept they wanted to the helmets. Almost all of the artists have agreed to contribute the proceeds from the auction to www.helpinghannahsheart.org This is a medical expense trust set up to help pay the many medical expenses that have ac***ulated over the past 3.5 years. For those that dont know, our baby has had different procedures throughout her 3 year life including open heart surgery. She will have to have more open heart surgery again in about 5 years. The doctors have to be paid in order to keep on doing more surgery. I will get more details as people want to know them. Visit www.helpinghannahsheart.org for details on what she has gone through. These helmets are a direct cast off an original German M40 WWII helmet and will fit with the proper lining installed. These helmets are NOT DOT approved so dont think you can wear this out on the street with your motorcycle. These helmets cost $40 with nothing on them - just the normal resin. Add the cost of the time and energy and paint that was contributed by each artist and you see that the helmets SHOULD go for over $100. The helmets that were auctioned off at the show went for about $150 - $200. But we did not have enough time to auction off ALL the helmets....so Ryan has agreed to auction them here on the HAMB and he has been very gracious in stating that 100% of the proceeds will go directly to www.helpinghannahsheart.org Thanks for looking and we hope that you will continue to support the cause.
the above picture you can kinda see the amazing base paint job that was done.....once again - the helmet looks MUCH better in person than in the pix
This auction will end Monday Aug 9 at 9pm CST. THANKS for bidding! Hey - Empire32 you should put up some other samples of your work!
