anyone have a list of parts #'s to put disc brakes on a 1969 chevelle 12 bolt rear? E-brake is not manditory... would just like to get discs on the back.... on the cheap.. I'm thinkin pontiac trans am rotors MAY work... just not sure which caliper/bracket... and yep... I am searching posts... like a mad man.. just figured I'd ask ya'll also... thanks.
If you are talking about the 70s trans am rotors, they will work if you turn down the OD of the axle hub to fit the rotor hat. If you get the brackets and calipers from the same car you should be good. ----------- This site below has lots of good ideas for you 10/12 bolt. Heres a one of the topics. Cesar... Thanks Bro !!! silly question... ? if I don't need a proportioning valve for 4 wheel drums.... I shouldn't need one for 4 wheel discs... correct?
I converted my 70 Chevelle 12 bolt to disc using '78 Cadillac calipers and brackets with '78 Trans Am rotors over the counter at Napa......even has the ebrake mechanism. You should be able to find the brackets an Pick n Pull, I see them there all the time.
