Hi all.... While not new to cars, I am learning quite a bit about REAL hot rods. I've cycles through more than my share of cars, ranging from the stereotypical "tuned" Honda Civic, a couple 70's machines, a few 4x4's, etc... I cut my teeth on Datsun 510's, moved towards traditional cars recently, but I am sick of the pompadour/tattoos/rockabilly crowd. I'm the owner of a 27 T roadster, powered by a 331 caddy (49 with 53 heads). I did no build it, but I am doing the best I can not to screw it up. I have a few questions about some things on this car, but I shall search extensively before asking....
Don't know too much about rockabilly crowds, but I do know about Tattoos & Pompadours, and I have Friends with Both... Tattoos & Pompadours. They are friends of mine because of what they are into, that being Hot Rods and Kustoms. You will just have to get over it, and enjoy what this place is here for, that being Hot Rods and Kustoms. That said: Welcome to the H.A.M.B. from Arkansas City, KS. firstnomad
Well I don't have any tattoo's and I don't have enough hair for a pompadour do but I DO like rockabilly music! Welcome from Arkansas...
No offense toward the tattoo and pompadour crowd, my comments are more directed at the crowd locally who are more focused on dressing up and playing the role than building the cars... Posers are everywhere, and I'm just thankful for a group of people focused on the cars, and letting the rest follow...
Understood ! Welcome to the H.A.M.B. it is a Very Good Place to be. firstnomad www.angelfire.com/jazz/flatlandstudio
