Hi all....I have a 1965 Riviera...bought a posi center section...the guy was selling the axles separate claiming they were "posi axles". Since my rearend has its original axles can I reuse those? Does Hollander or a computer based interchange show a unique axle for posi or is it the same as an open diff? Thanks in advance!! Ron

I've never seen any Posi Only axles, especially in the GM family. Your original axles should work.

Hey Ron, my Hollander doesn't mention any difference between posi and regular axles. Does show 65 only though. Hope this helps.

axles would only be different compared to the side (spider) gears (spline count) and length of axle vs the axle tube.
