Just kidding! So now that the fun is over... I was referred to HAMB by a fellow member after asking for PIX of a '50 fleetline chevy being chopped. He said this forum rocked. After surfing it for a while I found out he wernt fibbin'. AWESOME! I'm from Tejas. Son of a Hot Roddin' Farmer who taught me to saw, weld, hammer, and cuss just about anything metal. If we weren't on a tractor (glamorous i know) we were in the shed building or fixin something. I was always amazed how that man could (and still can) build anything from our metal s**** heap or fix darn near anything with the smallest crescent wrench known to man that he kept in his pocket (along with his knife of course). So anyway, from the day he showed me the 2 pix he had of his '55 chevy convert. with a 283 and 3 dueces I was hooked! So now it is many years later and I am an addict... sometimes I think there is something wrong with me.... but then I remember that I like that! I'll try to help everyone on the board that I can and you can rest ***ured I will ask a lot of questions! BTW, I ain't usually long winded... I'm just excited about the prospects here! Let the beatings begin!
'55 ragtop with a tri-carb 283? Sounds awesome. Good intro. I give it a 93%. Would have been better with pictures of aforementioned cars. Oh, good one about the Boydster. 8^D Edit: I give my post a 75% for misspelling "Intro"
[Welcome to the Hamb. Yes you got me.... I was all ready to have fun with that one. Got any pics of your stuff?
No beatings here. Welcome! Alot of metal gets cut, torched, bent, welded, pounded, stripped, primered, and sometimes painted. Join the fun on the best site on the Net. Joel
You know... actually, a Boydster with factory barbs added and done to look like a radically modified lakes car might not be terrible loooking...
Welcome to the HAMB! I've got a '50 Fleetline project too. Hope you found that great thread on the Fleetline that was chopped last month.
NOT another Texan...!!!??? What "fun" were you referring to? And glad to hear you're into Chevy's...there's enuff Ford lovers on here! FWIW, welcome the the House of HAMB... R-

Not to worry, we ain't proud either...wait did I just use AIN"T? Ahhhhh what's wrong with me????? Welcome from So*Cal! x Brandy ***So does anybody know if you buy one of Boyd's highdollar FRAUD RODS, do you get a complimentary Hawaiin shirt?****
Now thats funny joel! Thats a good welcome! How about using boydster as a grabber... This guy should write ads... Welcome (I hope your wife is supportive... you wont see her much)
Thanks for appreciating the intro! I tried to get back in and answer some questions last night but my computer fouled a plug Ill try to answer best as I can . PIX oddly enough, I dont have many pix I do have a glamour shot of me and my PIMP . Ill post in a minute. Projects are endless . 63 SWB Chev (first ride, true love), 63 PIMP, 50 Fleet, 52 more door, looking for a A coupe, plus a couple more that are not even to the project state yet. I tend to wander from project to project and then back! As far as having a supportive wife . SHE ROCKS! I have some pix of the bike she let me build in our livin room no it is not old or cl***ic by any means but I think you all will appreciate the lines. PLUS, when your wife tells you that you can build a bike in the nice warm livin room . You just start buying stuff before she changes her mind! The fun I was referring to was YANKING YOUR COLLECTIVE CHAINS with the Boyd intro. J I currently do my beatin, weldin, and cussin in Granbury, TX. Yes, I came over from ChevyTalk Thanks to fat50 and 50chevy for pointing me in this direction.ChevyTalk is a good board! But I almost hated to ask the dreaded (by some) CHOP question over there. But I got lots of support . Awesome! BTW as far as the Boydster . My Hawaiian shirt is black with flames.
Boyd Coddington has done more for this hobby than anyone alive! He's everyone's secret hero........BLahh haaa haaa!! Welcome.
