Chris, Fitzee, Leon, and the rest of the gang, thanks for all that you shared with us. Andy's dream brought us together.
Outstanding memorial for an outstanding young man. I hadn't been on here in a while and just went and read almost all of the threads about Andy and his battle and his car. You folks here did an incredible thing and you all got an incredible gift from Andy that will last for the rest of your lives. Salute to Andy and his friends and family!
Although I never met him, he was a real inspiration to alot of us here including myself. The members that got together to build his dream car goes beyond words but shows the heart of what can be done for someone that has touched the heart and souls of so many. Rest in piece Andy and know you are in our thoughts often.
Wow , Chris told me in Moncton that alot of work went into Andy's headstone, he wasnt kidding , its beautiful ! Heres a pic of his own little memorial , as he told me " Andy is always with me" Thanks for the pics Fitzee !
I didn't but jeez...passing away at only 14 years old man that's terrible My condolences to his family and friends.
Mels is fitting for Andy....he asked for the movie when he was last in hospital...so, with video in hand the visit was made.... As one of a few hot rodders here, i can honestly say that Andy brought us together. He showed us the best of our hobby and the best of mankind. He was to say the least, inspiring. Never to complain and always to bring a smile to your face...and now a tear to your eyes. There is not a day that passes that Andy doesnt seem to cross my mind.... Thanks Fitz, pictures are great. On a last note..... The last few times i saw Andy he seemed to poke fun at me for having a hot rod with valve covers...even to the point to where he would phone me and rub it in....always fun and always a great laugh.... anyways, a week ago i was lucky enough to be given a flat head part that was left over from Andys build...this will go with my flathead that was bought from a church raffle win (funny cause i am not a church go'r). Andy, buddy......... i hope you smile on us all. And i am honored to have a piece belong to you on my Model A sedan build. You are everything that hot rodding stands for. Leon
Not much else to say..... Age obviously has nothing to do with the qualities we look for in a quality human being....RIP ANDY...
As a brand new member on Hamb it didn't take long to see all the post and the hotrod being built for Andy. I didn't know him other than this site and some how felt like I had knew him all his life. I also wear my Hamb Andy shirt at all special occasions and it always reminds me how lucky we are to have been just a little part of his life. The hamb site was fortunate to have had the opportunity to help Andy in his quest and our life's are much richer for having had played a small part in bringing his dream to reality. Rest assured Andy will never be forgotten in our home. God be with him always.
They say a persons wealth is measured by the number of friends they have. I would have to say Andy was a very wealthy person. Andy, Save us all a seat on the other side...
Very, very touching.... Chris and fitzee, thanks for sharing this with us. I've never been into tats but that's powerful.
Very nice Tribute ..well deserved people,, live life as best you can, treat your fellow man with as much respect as you can. life is just too dam short, and in some cases..even shorter than it ever should be RIP Andy
Thanks for posting this Fitzee. RIP Andy. I feel privileged to have played a small part in making Andy's last time spent on this earth more bearable. Renews my faith in my fellow man to have seen a rodding community come together to help one of their own that they had never met. Pat.
WOW. That is awesome. I can't even put into words how motivating that resting place is to those of us still living.
