I have been offered a possible trade for my '59 Intl B Series. It is a 1970 Oldsmobile Toronado GT. This is a very rare car and the fella does not know what he has sitting in his garage. I would love to see my truck finished but have always liked Oldsmobile and the W-34 option.

Does this meaning you will be leaving the HAMB and finding a Toronado web-site? (LOL)

I have had several Eldo's and a couple Toros as well. I would trade if the value of both are similar or in your favor. Very rare and (IMNSHO) I prefer those early Toros/Eldos (especially the '67-70 Eldorados). If it makes ya happy, do it!

Wow! First GT I've seen with dual rear wheels. Looks Photoshopped, but I could be wrong.

Trackman, Are you saying that those extra rear wheels were a factory option?

Check out hursthairyolds.com. Some real good shots of that bad mofo. I had a model of that car when it first came out. Maybe this '70 is its little brother.

Even though the Toro's are super cool and actually kinda rare, it doesn't seem to have given them a real high dollar value. Supply and demand, I guess.

  18. ummm, beware. do your research. I'm suspicious of a dual-rear wheel car. I think I'd remember that as a factory option. Even if it's a custom, I say beware. Look first before you trade.

Actually, I just wanted to see what a '70 Toronado GT looked like so I googles it and that was the first image that popped up. So extremely unlikely that is the one he is looking at and I can't even be positive it's a '70 or a GT. Just was meant to be a little humor. Hope I didn't scare him away.

And actually I kind of dig them, they are pretty cool cars and wouldn't mind having one myself. But then, I like old farm trucks too. Would be a hard call. It is easier to find cool old farm trucks though than nice Toronados. So maybe I would trade and then just get another truck later. But trucks can haul stuff, Toronados can't. Might want to factor that in if needed.

It's an apples to oranges trade, so hard to say without more info. How about some pics of both to compare?

I will post pictures of both cars by Tuesday night. I got the joke about the car with 4 real wheels and no it is not that car.
