help with a painless 5.0 injection conversion harness

    hi i got the 5.0 to run in my 59 but after a few seconds the fuse which feeds power to the relays and computer burns up . i didn't buy the harness new but it was never installed before i got it just had the box opened. anyway the main fuse for this is currently a 5 amp a freind of mine says thats why it's blowing. anyone know the correct size? thanks

    Don't know much about the Painless but Street & Performance and Howell are both 15a depending on circut, usually the fuel pump relay is stand alone 15.....................
    I find it hard to believe you only have one fuse............

    there is a small fuse panel with a 15 and a 10 amp for the fuel pump relay's this is the main power which feeds that fuse panel and the comp power

    I think I recall using a 40 or 50amp Maxi-fuse...

    Is this a 5.0 Ford we are talking about or a 305 Chevy with TPI?

    What's the part # on the box? You can go to the Painless site and look it up if you know the part #.

  8. There is 3 7.5 amp, 2 10 amp, and 3 15 amp fuses in the panel.
