I am going with my daily driver pickup. If you need something hauled back and or stored, let me know.

  6. Hey can someone post more info on this for me? Michelle and I always skip it of course so I've never paid attention to the details but this year Snarl will be with us and he will want to go. What time does it open, etc? I have no info.

If we go, we will be in our HHR so will have room to haul stuff if needed.

Dumb question, but how much is it to park & to get into the swapmeet? I'm thinking that were going to be there on Friday. Were kinda' crunching penny's this year @ the Drags spending $250 for two night at the hotel.

I recall it being free. Parking in some of the adjacent lots cost money I think but we have found a spot that did not charge.

I think they charge $5 to park on the fairgrounds parking lots but the entry to the swap meet is free. They also deliever anything you buy to your vehicle for free.

I'll be there as well. For anybody who will get into Joplin very early at all on Friday you really shouldn't p*** up the opportunity to go to the swap meet. Springfield is East of Joplin on I-44. It takes between an hour and 1 1/2 hours to get their via the interstate or a bit longer if you want to take a more scenic route, but it's the largest swap meet in Missouri. I've had some pretty good luck in the past.

It is free to get in and parking can range from $3 to $5 given the many lots around the fairgrounds and then you have people who rent you a parking space in their yards that live on the streets surrounding it as well.

It is a really good event/swap meet. We all go Friday morning and look around for stuff we need for projects and sometimes find a new one!! We then we will head to Joplin in the late afternoon to make it in time for the Friday night fun! It makes for one hell of a fun weekend, a swap meet, cool car show and concert on Friday night at the hotel and awesome drags on Saturday!!

Anyone needing any other info or just want to join up with us Friday morning to walk around and shoot the breeze send me a PM and I will sendy ou my cell number to try and meet up at the swap.

Do the "set-up" on Thursday afternoon/evening (even though BenD will beat me to the deals....haha)?

  17. If anybody going to Springfield sees any black, painted black steel, not stainless, not chrome, trim for a '42 Ford SNAP IT UP for me. Thanks.

A word of advice. At I-44 and 13 (the exit for the fairgrounds) they have installed a diverging diamond intersection. It's a little oddball, but just be aware that it's not a normal setup.

Traditionally my space has been a haven for wayward Hambers who have been aimlessly wandering the isles all day, an oasis if you will (with early ford parts). PLEASE note, I'm in a new location this year SPACE G 030, east side of the swap meet at the corner of the barn. You can view a complete map here http://www.ozarksantiqueautoclub.com/Swap Meet Map.aspx

Hopefully the barn will provide some much needed afternoon shade and I'm usually stocked up with cold beverages. Please stop by and say hello. Hoping to have the latest and greatest T&A Transport t-shirts for sale as well.
