Well, I actually thought that I would not have to write one of these posts again. This will be short and sweet. It was a great event. Just the right size. The rain!! Oh well it sure did not seem to matter. Good people. That is really what this is about. We always want to have the best show we can. We can't please everybody and I need to realize that the most. I have a problem beacuse I take it personaly! Not anymore!! We will be back in 2011, yes I said it. All of the club had a great time, and that is because the people there are having a great time. Once again that is what this is about. THE PEOPLE! The cars are what bring us together. The rest is history. ALso please don't thank me. Corry Glucoft is the one that really made it happen this year. She was the Ballbuster that kept us inline. James Bender for his part. Shawn Wheelock for taking care of the vendors. Zombo for all his time booking the bands. The Swiss! And most of all Dale for starting this ****. Thanks agian to the participants. CHEERS and see you in 2011. Steve Glucoft Amocat Speed Emporium Hotrodarama Also Brian B***. KING OF THE HOTRODARAM 2010. *****en car all the way from DALLAS. WOW!!! Thanks again Brian.
Thanks to ALL of the Miscieif Makers for putting this show on again...better vibe this time around! The rain was even tolerable...this is Western Washington, after all. Actually, that might be the very reason this one was so good...the people that were at the show where the ones that REALLY wanted to be there! Congrats to all of you!
Thanks to EVERYONE who made the show happen this year. I'm STILL recovering, and I couldn't be happier....
Big thank you's ! To Steve & Corry Glucoft, Shawn Wheelock, James Bender for all hard work they did. The Mischief Makers C.C. members. Most of All the People who attend and make this show what it is THANK YOU ALL !!! Hey Dave Y. , thank you buddy !
Do you have dates for next year or are they same as this year. Since B*** has laid the challenged down I might try to get time off from work to come up there.
Been there done that! But if your game, I'll make a plan to go with or drive my beast back up there again! Hell, if I start planning now, maybe I can afford to be back to normal next year economy be damned! Besides, It's a fun drive- even Judy has done it! Nudge, nudge!
Another venue? The Swiss is easily one of the coolest venues I have ever been to! Please don't change that!
I posted this on my photo thread last night, but it worth re-posting today. During the show I had the pleasure of visiting with Steve and he had a great conversation about Clovis West, The Wing-T, and Friends. He mentioned to me that Community is what makes Hot Rod-a-Rama such a special event and everyone who attends, participates, and works during Hot Rod-a-Rama is apart of that great community. I wanted to personally thank Mrs. Glucoft for all of the hard work she has put in making Hot Rod -a-Rama the greatest car show in the country, according to me. For those of you who have put on a car show you know that staying on top of the books and paperwork is the hardest part of putting on a car show. Its a thankless job that begins the day after the show is over and doesnt end until the morning of the next years show. Thank you very much Mrs. Glucoft for all the effort you have put in over the past few years. I would also like to thank her husband Steve and everyone else that has had a helping hand in putting on Hot Rod-a-Rama. Thank you all for give us in the car community the truly awesome event that is Hot Rod-a-Rama, all of your hard work is greatly appreciated. Here's a link to the 150 Reasons why I love Hot Rod-a-Rama 2010. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=500845 I'll definitely be there next year, with my Steveracci!!! dash board cut out complements of Mr. Johnson!
Thanks to all of you that make this event happen. Shawn,Rob,Josh, all the Mischief Makers, Couldn't even catch Corry to thank her personally, she was working hard all day. And a big thanks to you Steve, I'm blessed to have you as a friend. Tim
Thank you Steve for the acknowlegement. When I started the Hotrod-A-Rama in '02 with the help of a lot of good friends I had no idea it would turn out to be such a great long running event. It is in capable hands now. I wish I could have been there this year but it wasn't meant to be. Bonneville is as close as I will get to Wash. this year. Would have been great to hoist a few cold barley pops at the Swiss with the gang. Glad to see Squeak made it ok in his 40 coupe. Too bad about the weather and the low turnout. Looks like a lot of great cars just the same. Wheelock's 40 sedan looks so cool. When is he gonna lower that ****er? Great job as always my friend, Dale
Wow, what a kick *** show! I just wanted to say thanks to all who were involved with making this happen! The Mischief Makers put on an excellent show and we had blast! The rain was not a big deal and actually made the show a little more interesting. Saw a lot of old friends and met a few new ones! I cant say enough about how friendly and genuine all the people up North are. You guys are the best! And I wanted to say a special thanks to Steve and Corry for taking care of us and showing us a great time. They really do work their ***es off to make this all happen! Also thanks to Josh, Keith (49 hudson) and Joe (60 pontiac) for the beers, and thanks to that dude who drove my car back to the hotel when I was too drunk, Sorry I forgot your name! Anyway, we'll be back next year for sure!!! Thanks again!!
Kevin you need to find a way to get one of your cars up here to the show. You have some bad *** rides.
Glad the rain didn't keep you away Kevin. It was nice catching up with you. Next time, bring a car. ha ha! Man, I've said it before, but the Northwest has the best car people anywhere, and some of the best rides around...hands down. I love it here. The NW is the new SoCal. ha ha
Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to give us a great show. We had a blast and are looking forward to next year!
Just got home last night from Washington and was able to hit the show while I was out there. What a great bunch of cars, it was cool to see some of the cars in person that I have only seen on the HAMB. The board with name the parts and tools was a cool idea.
