There I go again, setting lofty goals of an under 30 secound 1/4 with the mighty six shooter wagon. But no one else saw the inspiration, and its easy to understand! So I will stay home and pout. Bummer!! ~Sololobo~

I figured I better, since I make maps in "Real Life".

This should be pretty close to the starting line:
    Latitude: 37.309178°
    Longitude: -94.613210°

    Looking forward to seeing everybody,

Denise, you need to throw Frank in the trunk of big olds and bring him to Mokan kicking and screaming. I would like to see him again and that looks like the only way he will show up. Does that 'ol pile of junk '32 still run Frank??? :p:D How about driving it to Mokan.

Dumb question, but........How long are the cars going to be running at the track? Will it be into the night with night drags?

    Thanks,
    Chris

I know the last couple of years they have been done well before dark.

That being said I can't wait. Still no Hot Rod but I'm coming with camera in hand once again. Oh and I'm askin' the big guy upstairs for a repeat of last years weather instead of this million degree crap we have been having. See everybody in 10 days. :D

We basically just run until we poop out the track hands... Sometimes that is well into the dark like we did last year... sometimes it's at dawn...

And all of time I thought you were really aware of what's going on. I've driven that car car to exactly ONE event since we bought it and that was because I let the license lapse on the '32 and didn't have time to renew before the event. Every where else it's been the '32 2dr. And........I didn't expect you to be scared.........I'm smarter than that.:)

Andy, Yea, that pile is still racking up the miles. I'm thinking it might need a refresh one of these years. It's been 4 years this summer since I washed it (after faithfully washing it the previous 6 years) and it still has the origonal battery..........has needed a jump the last couple of springs when I get it out and I added some air to the right rear tire last year. The maintainance is killing me.:D. Like I told Denise I've rounded up a candidate to run at the drags but not enough time to make it this year so we'll see if Obama will leave me enough money to make a runner out of it by next year.

All, it looks like we're going to get a break in this heat and humidity. It's been miserable here. The forecast looks good. So far, we are to have lows in the upper 60's and highs in the upper 80's early next week. Let's hope it holds for the weekend. Brother-anybody show up yet? Sam

Sam, hope to see you and your brother at Mokan. I'll be bringing the black '63 galaxie again this year. Did a few upgrades to it this year so I hope it runs better.
Frank, you need to save your nickels and dimes so you can get that car togehter for Mokan next year. I'll be looking for you.
