Hi- The easiest way is to go all Model A. Don't need the '39 steering box. '39 trans is a big plus; but not necessary to have a good running fun car. Stay with the A stuff, get the car done and then start changing things. Get some good books, join a local Model A club, and have fun!

has ayone used a t chassis on a A speedster, got all the A running gear but thought it would be fun using a t chassis.

  4. Yea this was my first idea, i have all the stuff of the model a and is more easy that way, you are right!!
I have a few pics when i bought in 2008, And then everything was disarmed, but now i`m rebuilding the chassis entire..

  5. I think it's very helpful to use a Model T chassis with the mechanics of the model A by the light-weight chassis.
I am sure that in the old races have used the chassis of the Model T to Model A engine

Although not a speedster, I used a TT chassis (model T truck) for my build. In order to keep a running gear, including the brakes, some converting of the frame and linkage had to be done.

The link to my build (mock-up) is in my signature.
