this is probably one of those idiot questions but anyway here it goes. At the end of last year my high school auto shop i was staying after for detention and having to clean out the back room and trash all sorts of old "outdated" tools and parts well anyway my teacher told me any thing i could haul in my truck i could have. In doing so i came across this snap on box with a motor and other stuff in it and asked the teacher what it was he said he thinks for an alternator so i still don't have a clue. if any one as any idea or info please post thanks RR MG]http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/%3Ca%20href=%22http://s594.photobucket.com/albums/tt29/redlilight316/?action=view¤t=alt14.jpg%22%20target=%22_blank%22%3E%3Cimg%20src=%22http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/tt29/redlilight316/alt14.jpg%22%20border=%220%22%20alt=%22Photobucket%22%3E%3C/a%3E[/IMG]
Lots of red x's.................... Can you "thumbnail" the pics, I think it's called, so you can click to enlarge????
need bigger pics. So far it looks like a cutting tool for armatures or rotors. Sort of like mini lathe hand held.
I used to cut the mica back using a fine cut broken hacksaw blade. Then a short piece of fine wet-r-dry clothe narrow belt-type sandpaper along with a good final cleaning. pdq67
4th pic in top row. Hold down for a van norman boring bar. Lip hooks on bottom of cylinder and screw on top makes curved piece lock against cylinder wall. It is placed in cylinder next to cylinder your boring.
