Anyone else checked out the A.S.R.A.? It's a new organization similar to the old N.S.R.A. They're dedicated to pre 49 vehicles. It's an older group that is starting back up due to the dis-satisfaction many people have with The policies of the N.S.R.A. You can find them at: www.theasra.com

Do a search on ASRA, there are at least two different organizations going by that name the last time I checked. The other one is here:

    www.americanstreetrodassociation.com/

They are planning an event in Rantoul, IL in Spetember.

  4. Reguardless,,they both are one in the same American Street Road Association.
    I am a Charter Member ,,CM-120

There is also another orginazition,,I think it's called the I.S.R.A.

Both came into being because they didn't like the new NSRA rules. HRP

And there is yet another; V.S.R.A., Vintage Street Rodders of America

    http://www.vsra-usa.com/

It will be interesting to see which, if any, of these survive in the long run.

Hotrodprimer, ISRA is Indiana Street Rod Association.
A good friend of mine was contacted about setting up some nostalgia drags at the show in IL. I think maybe the name was American Street Rod Association. Could be another place I can take my super/stock Galaxie to drag race and have a good time.

Iam a charter member and the North Texas rep. here in Texas. theasra has 500 members since it inception Dec.09 The American Street Rod Association is based in
Gulfport, Ms. Jimbo Perkins is the founding member. I joined because it is a pre 49 organization. Was fed up with the nsra going to 1980 and not asking its membership.
A hot rod as I know it is pre 49 and should stay that way.
TheASRA just had its first annual get together in Diamondhead, Ms. in June. had a great turn out. Lots of beautiful cars. If I can be of any help or you want more information on the club please contact me. www.theasra check out members cars.

ASRA is a top notch organization and they put on a very good show last Sept, Next year they are looking at Nostalgia Drags on the runway as well, They are a good group of guys and I think that most of them are on here but the do not promote it on here,They are in it trying to save the pre 48 Shows and are not all about the Money like I have read about some of the other groups,
