I've got a 54 chevy belair and I can't decide on going with a 2 link or 4 link suspension for the bags. I don't have that big of a budget so price and quality I need to find out. If you have a pictures of either set up that would be nice!! What did you do?
went with four link on mine built my own tabs and c notches $40 worth of metal and if I remember right my bags and links were around $250
Run truck arms and they wont interfere with your rear seat pan...just relieve the rear part of tunnel and the rearend doghouse area for your c notch...63 chevy were the first year w truck arms I believe..run your set up just like them or make one to match!
you guys run a panhard with the truck arms right? anyone doin a watts link? the sway from a panhard with a good ammount of lift could cause tire/skirt or fender clearance issues depends upon wheel choice. something to think about. i prefer a 3 link wishbone style myself. check what steve sellers did or b*** did on that 49
I did a two link with bags at pivot point close to the hanger, And it has a 4" pinion angle block made on to it!!upper bag mount on frame and lower is on the arm itself!! It allows you to run less air than an over the axle setup, giving u a much smoother ride!! As for the pan hard , the longer u can make it the less the rear end mOves from left to right as u raise and lower!! Set your pan hard at ride height to center the rearend! Good thing bout four link is it keeps ur pinion angle in motion all the way thru the trAvel!! Check with Alex gambino, he has everything u need if u you want to go that route!! Excellent stuff!!
